Meet Benny
If you’re greeted by a 110 pound ball of fluff before you even make it to the front door, that’s Benny. Benny is a 3 year old Bernese Mountain Dog who calls Dominion Hill home. He is equal parts gentle giant and social butterfly. He loves everybody and might just be the first to welcome you with a tail wag and a smile.
He’s become something of a celebrity around here, guests often stop to snap photos, give him belly rubs, or just enjoy his easygoing company. While Benny is a free spirit and often roams freely, we always want our guests to feel comfortable. If you’d prefer, just let us know and we’ll happily keep Benny (and our other dogs) leashed during your stay.

Meet Reuben
Reuben is a 5 year old mixed breed with the sweetest heart you’ll ever meet. He may have had a rough start to life; spending his first year homeless in northern Saskatchewan. However, thanks to a rescue and a loving home with two of our co-owners, Adam and Kaitlin, his story took a brighter turn.
Reuben and Benny are inseparable best buds, often spotted wrestling and chasing each other across the lawn. Whether he’s curled up quietly nearby or running over to say hello, Reuben’s gentle nature makes him a favorite among guests.
Although he lives in nearby St. Andrews, Reuben is at Dominion Hill most days, ready to greet new friends.
In Loving Memory of Gracie
It is with heavy hearts that we share the recent passing of Gracie, a beloved Golden Retriever who called Dominion Hill home for over nine years.
Gracie was the queen around here; graceful, wise, and dearly loved by everyone who met her. She greeted guests, wandered the grounds, and hosted countless events at Dominion Hill over the years, making everyone feel welcome just by being there.
Her favorite hangout was the car (also known as her office) where, with the doors open, she’d come and go exactly as she pleased while watching the team clean the rooms. One of her favorite things in the world was swimming in the Digdeguash Lake.
Gracie was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and passed comfortably at home with her loved ones by her side.
Gracie lived a long and happy life of 11 years. Our restaurant, Gracie’s, is named in her honour, and her legacy will continue to live on at Dominion Hill.
