Staff positions at Dominion Hill can be structured as full or part-time.  We are most interested in hiring good people – with a passion for hospitality and excellent service.  For the right candidates, we will be as flexible as possible.  While our greatest needs are May – October, Dominion Hill will be open at least 10 months each year.

Assistant Innkeeper

Working with the Innkeeper, this position is part of Dominion Hill’s “front door.” Welcoming guests, checking them in and out, responding to their needs, and helping plan their visit to our area, are a large part of the job.  Communicating with guests by phone and email, making reservations, and undertaking administrative tasks, are related responsibilities.  Great communication skills, computer aptitude, and an outgoing personality are essential. This position could include some marketing tasks for a candidate with the necessary skills.

Marketing Coordinator

Promoting the accommodations, dining and catering services, wedding & meeting facilities, and special events, is the focus of this position. Communication via social media, online advertising, special promotions, and marketing channels (e.g., Booking.com) will be the primary tasks.  The candidate must have strong computer skills and a creative flair. An understanding of marketing principles, social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram), and graphic design is essential.

Kitchen Staff

Working with our Chef, the kitchen requires both new and experienced kitchen staff as we offer a restaurant, catering services, and host special events.  Several part-time positions are available to assist with the preparation of special dinners and receptions each weekend.  Weekday work is also an option.  A love of cooking is paramount, experience and formal training is an asset, but not essential.


Many dining room and banquet servers are required.  Most positions are part-time – some weekday, but especially Saturdays for wedding receptions and special events.  Good teamwork, a positive attitude, and a warm smile are essential.  Most shifts are 4-6 hours.


Weekday and weekend housekeepers are required on a seasonal and year-round basis.  We consider these positions critical to our mission and reputation.  A strong work ethic, a bit of OCD about cleanliness, and a strong team spirit are essential staff qualities. Some gardening responsibilities can be added if a candidate is interested.
