We had three weeks of happiness here. We have been met with friendship, enjoyed the beauty of creation and our souls have been stirred and refreshed.

This retreat and the setting are a balm to our souls. You have graced Dominion Hill with a powerful beauty; everywhere one looks, things are done in ways that exceed what is necessary. All speaks of “beyond” and visitors are released to think and move “beyond”.

It truly has been a time of renewal and refreshing for us. The house, the trails, the lake are all so special and have fed our souls.

Thanks again for a great week. I can’t remember a time when I’ve been
so blessed and stimulated at the same time. I was compelled to rethink
my fundamental approach to ministry in a post-post modern era. The
presenters were thoughtful, the material was challenging and the
discussion was timely and incredibly relevant. I loved the roundtable
format and was blessed by what everyone had to share. At the same time,
you spoiled us! What a beautiful, comfortable and restful setting. You
all have done a remarkable job. I can’t wait to come back.

In all my travels, Dominion Hill is one of the most beautiful and hospitable locations for events that I have ever encountered. Whether you are staying for a few nights of rest and exploration, or whether you are hosting a retreat or course, the stunning features, atmosphere and people of Dominion Hill will deepen the experience of all who attend.
I highly recommend Dominion Hill for a couple's getaway, a business retreat, a specialty event – or any other experience that will be enhanced by top quality rooms, facilities, food and a breathtaking environment. Dominion Hill is my first choice for all my events, and those who have attended our retreats and courses say the same."

The intensive roundtable for pastoral couples was a great experience for both of us. The books that we read and the church evaluation we did before coming helped us to wrestle through some of the pertinent issues of developing a missional community so that the time together was even more enriching. We were stretched, laughed a lot, prayed for one another, worshipped, and left energized simply by being with some great Kingdom folks who were planning like us to ‘go the distance’. We highly recommend it to any pastoral leader in any stage of development.

We both received far more than we expected at the Roundtable. The setting was beautiful, connections were made with new & old friends and conversations took place that went below the surface and into the heart of the matter. We were inspired, encouraged, challenged and provoked. There were great insights shared by facilitators who listened as much as they talked and asked more questions than they gave answers. There were also great insights shared around dinner tables, on hiking trails, in casual conversations and in the sharing of “life” stories among the participants. There was excellent food for the body and for the soul. There’s a lot we’ve been to in the last decade but there’s nothing that’s meant as much to us or has so directly benefited our local church as this Roundtable.

This was by far one of the best and enriching times I have experienced with church leaders. I was encouraged and challenged and loved on - it doesn't get much better than that! So kudos to you and Joy - you outdid yourselves!

The week together at beautiful Dominion Hill for the 5 Star Retreat was a rich and profitable experience. Couples from every region of Canada and one couple from the US worshiped together, told our stories, received prayer and prophetic ministry from each other, shared wonderful meal times, and were refreshed with much fun and laughter. Each day we were stimulated with some excellent teaching by professors from SSU. And then Gary led us in a discussion of the books we had read prior to coming. It was so good, especially in the company of our peers, to consider how to live and lead the mission of God in a world now wracked with discontinuous change. At least to some degree, this brief experience of intense community became part of the answer to the questions we were asking .
