Leaders growing... together

Because of our beautiful outdoor setting, there is much one can do without even leaving our property! We have 60 acres of hiking trails through our forest – including a trail up to the top of Dominion Hill with a magnificent view of both the ocean and islands and a waterfall on our adjacent river. Speaking of the river, just up our country road is an old-fashioned swimming hole in the river – a great place to swim and play in the waterfalls and perhaps bring a picnic.

Of course for those who love to read and relax rather than hike, our spacious stone patio is a great place to sit by the fountain and listen to classical music while you enjoy a cool beverage. Or perhaps you could use the rope hammock under the apple tree to bring back memories of a bygone era.

There are also at least forty different birds that frequent our property, including the majestic bald eagles that are regular visitors. Eagles can usually be seen close up by canoe on any of our nearby lakes. Use of our canoe can be arranged by experienced paddlers. The truly adventurous "birder" can even be fortunate enough to see a puffin by taking a short trip to nearby Grand Manan island.

At night, the stars are breathtaking, the Milky Way a white band across the sky. Nighttime also means a fire can be lit in the fire pit to roast marshmallows and smores.

Just a short distance from our property are four large lakes suitable for swimming or boating. The closest is a mere four minutes, the farthest less than fifteen. There are many paved secondary roads for biking with almost no vehicle traffic and there are numerous coves and heads to explore along the ocean. We are only twenty minutes from the Grand Manan ferry and even closer to the ferry going to Deer and Campobello Isands.

Finally, we are just over ten minutes from St. Andrews by the Sea, the charming and historic 18th century village on Passamaquoddy Bay. This wonderfully quaint, little seaside town has great local restaurants (a number with decks facing the ocean), unique shops and a fabulous Thursday morning Farmer’s market. For golfers there is the world class Fairmont Algonquin golf course, for gardeners the award winning Kingsbrae Gardens and for those who love the sea, there are “can’t miss” whale watching tours.
